Annual Board Meeting

La Traversée – Suicide Prevention and Crisis Center celebrate it’s annual general meeting in June of each year. The board of directors is composed of at least 7 members, including the executive board, who serve a two-year term. It’s field of action covers all the municipalities of Pierre-De Saurel MRC.

General rules :

  • The Board comprises at least 7 directors, including a Chairman, a Vice-Chaiman and a Treasurer.
  • The territory for which La Traversée – Suicide Prevention and Crisis Center is established is that of the Pierre-De Saurel MRC, i.e. the three towns and nine municipalities that make it up.
  • Membership is open to anyone directly or indirectly involved or interested in suicide prevention in La Traversée – Suicide Prevention and Crisis Center territory, whether or not they live there.
  • At the Annual Board Meeting, members of La Traversée – Suicide Prevention and Crisis Center who are present and qualified elect from among the members in rule, the directors of the Board of La Traversée – Suicide Prevention and Crisis Center.
  • All members are invited to our Annual Board Meeting.
  • All members in good standing may apply by completing the nomination form.
  • Directors are appointed for two (2) year terms and nominations are on a rotating basis.
  • A single ballot is used to determine who will be elected if the number of candidates exceeds the number of positions to be filled.
  • Only members in good standing are entitled to vote.
  • The members of the Board of Directors thus constituted are then called upon to elect the executive committee.
